It is more than fifty years since I became interested in Christian Science. My mother had a heart condition which the medical profession could not cure. She turned to Christian Science and had me attend the Sunday School to help gain an understanding of the teaching. For this I am very grateful, as the Sunday School gave me such a good foundation in the Bible and God's law of healing. As we studied the Ten Commandments, a new and deeper meaning was unfolded to me.
My mother was in her early fifties at this time, and she continued her study of Christian Science and received her healing. She became a member of The Mother Church and an active member of a branch church and was within a few months of being one hundred years of age at the time of her passing.
I married a student of Christian Science, and am grateful for many proofs of God's healing power we had in raising our family. One experience which to me was outstanding occurred during World War II. We had five sons in the service, all in active duty in different parts of the world, in the air, on land, and at sea. We did not know just where they were, but I realized that I did not need to know, because God knew and He was taking care of each one of them.
