In 1954, my testimony appeared in the Christian Science Sentinel regarding the healing of a mental or nervous breakdown. The healing occurred a number of years before the testimony was published, and I stated at that time that the healing was permanent. In view of the material laws regarding the tenacity of this condition, now, twenty years later, I am happy to reaffirm the permanence of the healing. The truths learned during this awakening period have helped me meet many problems and fitted me for a more abundant life.
At one time I had terrific pains in both legs. I asked a practitioner to help me, and at the end of three days the pains stopped. I saw clearly that the pain had never been in the leg but in mortal mind, and this was the end of the problem.
In Miscellaneous Writings Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 343): "Too soon we cannot turn from disease in the body to find disease in the mortal mind, and its cure, in working for God." We hear the statement, "It's all in your mind." In Christian Science we learn that we do not have a little brain mind of our own. God is our Mind, and in this Mind there is no pain or discord of any kind.
