As a small child, I was healed through Christian Science when the physicians in the small East German city where my parents were then living had been unable to help me. At that time my mother, who had never heard anything of this religion, was given the address of a Christian Science practitioner in the distant city of Danzig, and my instantaneous healing resulted from her request for treatment through prayer.
From that time the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, had a place in our home, and my mother endeavored to apply the truths it contained to the best of her understanding.
