My first testimony was published in the Christian Science Sentinel in 1943. Since then my study and understanding of Christian Science has helped me bring up a family, and I have been upheld and strengthened through many experiences.
To anyone who may feel a healing is taking a long time I can give encouragement, for I had such an experience; but when the healing finally came two years ago, the adjustment to normalcy was almost instantaneous.
A few years ago I found I had a very badly misplaced organ, and this condition was accompanied at times by long periods of hemorrhaging. I had prayerful help—though no full healing—from practitioners at various times when fear was uppermost in my thought and then I would carry on with my own prayer. This condition continued for about two and a half years, but never at any time did I doubt the effective healing power of Christian Science for this or any other difficulty if its teachings are correctly applied. I was always grateful that I was able to carry out my duties in the home and at church, and that the members of my family, other than my husband, were unaware that I was having any trouble.
