From my teen-age years, when I first began to practice the teachings of Christian Science, God has been my only physician. Through understanding prayer in Christian Science our family and home were protected during a devastating hurricane, and we have experienced numerous physical healings.
One evening as I was driving home, my car was struck by another and damaged beyond repair. I thank God that no one in the other car was hurt.
When I regained consciousness, I was in a hospital. A Christian Science practitioner had been called and had immediately begun treatment. One result of this scientific prayer was shown in the fact that I awoke from unconsciousness with the calm feeling that all was well. I felt no shock, no pain or fear, and I had none as time progressed.
