Sharing the healing truths of Christian Science with someone who is troubled is a compassionate thing to do. And when a healing occurs, one is convinced that he has part in the most rewarding activity in the world.
One does not have to be a full-time public practitioner of Christian Science to share effectively the healing truths of the perfection of God and His reflection, man; nor need one be a student of Christian Science in order to be healed. But both the Christian Scientist and the one seeking healing need to put aside doubt and prejudice and be receptive of spiritual truth. God does the healing.
A Christian Scientist inquired about a neighbor's family and their new baby. The young mother answered in distress that the baby had been seriously ill for three months and their pediatrician could not diagnose the illness. Then she added, "So we are going to take the baby to the hospital this afternoon for extensive tests, and I'm terribly frightened."
