Effective, prompt healing—the natural and necessary disappearance of sin and disease before the light of Truth—is the goal of every student of Christian Science. Physical healing is not a process of turning diseased matter into perfect matter. It involves the realization that there is no matter, either sick or well. It results from the understanding of the allness and supremacy of God, Spirit, divine Principle, "before which sin and disease lose their reality in human consciousness."
Healing, health, wholeness, and holiness all come from the same Anglo-Saxon root word meaning whole, complete, perfect. To demonstrate this completeness and perfection, it is important to understand fully that the only place sin and disease have ever been is in human consciousness and they have been there only as seeming realities.
