I first heard of Christian Science forty-five years ago. I was in an auto accident that had been witnessed by a Christian Scientist. Upon seeing the accident the Scientist immediately denied the reality of such a mishap, realizing that man is not a mortal at the mercy of mischance, but is God's perfect idea, protected by Him. Later I learned of her scientific approach and felt that it explained why, on regaining consciousness in the hospital, I had declared that there was nothing wrong with me and demanded to be sent home, which I soon was.
It was then that I glimpsed something of this Science of real being and saw that it revealed universal Truth. For a week I did not feel I was in a material world at all. I had seen a great light and had been led to it in a most marvelous way.
It was quite natural for me to give up the medicine I had been taking daily for stomach trouble, and I was soon healed of this condition. Other healings that followed included those of asthma, smoking, social drinking, and severe attacks of migraine. I had begun to learn the truth of God and man and the spiritual universe formed to reflect Him.
