In our true selfhood we are spiritual beings, reflections of the one Divine Being. We are not, as false, mortal belief insists, limited, physical creatures anchored to a material earth. God, Soul, is our creator, and He made us spiritual and perfect. God, Spirit, is infinite good, and there is none else.
This is the truth, and we prove it to ourselves and to others as our thoughts ascend above the belief of matter and evil and rest in the consciousness of omnipresent, spiritual good as the only reality, and life in God as the only Life.
It is not easy for mortals to shift their thought from the material concept of things to the spiritual when matter and physical forms seem so solid. With the physical senses we see matter, we feel, smell, and taste it. Apparently we are constantly affected by it. How can we deny it and affirm that only Spirit is substance? How can we deny that evil exists when we hear of so many bad things going on in the world?
