One morning I awoke to find a large, painful swelling under my tongue. This condition persisted for two days and was so uncomfortable that I found it almost impossible to eat food or even swallow liquids. On the third day, discouraged that I had been unable to heal the problem through my own prayer, I called a Christian Science practitioner for help.
After briefly explaining the problem I received a very simple but firm response from her. She said, "Love will dissolve it." Little more was said.
As I put down the receiver, I knew I was healed, although there was at that moment no change in the physical condition. However, in about an hour I felt something rough under my tongue, and went to the mirror to see what it was. As I raised my tongue, a hard substance the size of a large grapefruit seed emerged, intact, from the swelling. That was the end of the problem.
