I wish to express my gratitude for the healing truths of Christian Science in Science and Healthby Mrs. Eddy, and in her other writings.
During the past twenty-five years I have had several instantaneous healings, including those of rheumatism, heavy colds, and throat trouble. A badly wrenched ankle was healed in a few minutes, and a deep cut was completely knitted together in a few hours. During a severe attack of influenza I fainted, and as I regained consciousness I heard my husband-to-be saying, "You are all right. God is here." The healing was instantaneous, and I immediately resumed my normal activities.
I would like to relate a healing which took place on the day when a film of a meeting held in The Mother Church was to be shown in a local branch church. While preparing our evening meal I spilt some scalding fat down the front of my legs and on the top of my feet. I quickly wiped the stockings clean and declared that man, as the reflection of God, cannot be touched by material conditions. Later, as I walked through the park on my way to church, I continued to pray, and during the meeting the pain diminished to some extent.
