Christian Science came to our family when my mother had a beautiful healing after her study of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Later one of my sisters had three outstanding healings. The first one occurred when she was a small baby. I remember my mother coming to me and telling me that the baby had nearly passed on, but that after half an hour or so of prayer for her by a Christian Science practitioner, the color had come back into the baby's cheeks, and she was now sleeping peacefully.
When my other sister was born, the doctor attending the birth told my mother that there was no life in the baby. A Christian Science practitioner was praying for her, and a Christian Science nurse was in attendance. After two hours there was a change, and life became apparent in the baby.
When I was in high school, I had a large goiter. At first there was no apparent change for the better, although I was having Christian Science treatment. Then I left home to go to a school some distance away. I was sent by a friend to a practitioner, and had an instantaneous healing of the goiter. It was a beautiful healing indeed!
