The basic premise of Christ Jesus' teaching and of Christian Science is that God, good, is All-in-all and there is no other power, presence, substance, or reality.
This idea echoes through the Bible and the Christian Science textbook,Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy; together with its corollary: God, divine Mind, is the only creator; therefore there is no creation other than His spiritual, perfect universe. "I am the Lord, and there is none else," Isa. 45:6; the divine Father is represented as saying. It is constantly affirmed that there is just one kingdom— the heavenly kingdom—peopled with the multitudinous manifestations of God's infinite goodness, each individually expressing total and invariable health and wholeness, collectively living peacefully together in love. And it is emphasized that any evidence to the contrary is to be reversed.
The Bible and Science and Health also insist that there is no law but the law of God, or good, and this law of divine Principle maintains eternal, untroubled order and harmony in all that truly exists. "God is the lawmaker, but He is not the author of barbarous codes," Science and Health, p. 381; writes Mrs. Eddy. There is no interruption of right activity and functioning anywhere—ever. God's law ensures the perpetual health and development of His entire universe and every object in it. There is no malfunction, no frustration, no stoppage in anything He has created. He is the inexhaustible fountain of life, and goodness flows out from Him continuously. There can be no paralysis or diseased action, no attrition or malnutrition, no death.
