Shortly after I graduated from college, Christian Science class instruction opened my thought more fully to the infinite resources of Spirit available to all mankind. The yearly association meetings since then have encouraged me to persist in discovering, understanding, and using these divine resources. A happy marriage to a Christian Scientist, a useful career, a lovely home and family, are all proofs to me of our Father-Mother God's ever-present care.
One morning my throat was painful, and I could not speak. I was afraid I would not be able to serve in the Christian Science Reading Room that day, or visit a friend in town who needed my help, as we had previously arranged. However, I decided to set off, silently singing these words (Christian Science Hymnal No 324:
Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King.
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.
