Rain on my parade

From the July 1979 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Dear God, rain on my parade—that parade
of false illusive images. Dissolve them—
make them nothing, thus cleansing my thought
of all that is unlike You. May Your sunshine
of truth give me a new perspective, focusing
clearly on what is real and true about myself
and my fellowman. Thank you, Father; I bask
in the sunlight of Your truth and rejoice in
the beauty of Your rainbow—
symbolizing the perfection of real being.
