Inseparable from the Father

From the July 1979 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Think of it! You and I and all people are actually one with God as His spiritual reflection!

"As a drop of water is one with the ocean, a ray of light one with the sun, even so God and man, Father and son, are one in being." Science and Health, p. 361; So states Mary Baker Eddy in Science and Health.

Whatever appears to separate us from God, good, such as disease or disaster, is a blatant lie. In a letter to the Romans, Paul lists some of these things that claim to threaten our oneness with divine Love. "Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?" he asks. He triumphantly answers, "I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Rom. 8:35, 38, 39; Today we might add drugs, brainwashing, and occultism to Paul's list.
