After many years of illness and numerous operations, I was told by the medical authorities that because of my physical condition it would not be possible for me to undergo further surgery, so they could do nothing more. About this time my devoted husband passed on, which left me feeling quite alone.
I had always turned to God as my loving, heavenly Father, and daily prayer was a source of comfort and strength to me at this difficult time. I knew nothing of Christian Science, but when a friend asked if I would care to attend a public lecture on this Science, I was willing to go.
During that lecture, I could feel the inspiring presence of the Christ. I was filled with a new understanding of Life, God, and I knew that here was release from the bondage of matter that seemed to dominate my life.
