Christian Science nursing—a rewarding career

From the May 1982 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Some years ago I was faced with a career decision. My previous field of study had not satisfied me, and I longed for education that more directly related to God. Christian Science has always been my great love.

I prayed and listened. The answer came: Christian Science nursing. Never, I thought. Although at first rebellion and resistance overwhelmed me, I finally yielded obediently. At last I had found my major!

In the years that followed, my whole life changed. I learned of my precious, indissoluble relationship to my Father Mother God. Timid attitudes toward people began to dissolve. Increasingly I recognized each one to be the beautiful expression of Life and Love. Many severe challenges were met, and each trial brought blessings.
