Perfect Soul includes perfect body

From the November 1983 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Soul" and "body" are terms needing much clarification. Christian Science provides this clarification, explaining that Soul is Spirit, God, and that body is Soul's spiritual reflection. Thus this Science corrects the belief that body is physique, and that soul is a consciousness which dwells in that physique.

In reality, there is one Soul that never sins and one body that can't suffer. Because Soul, God, is one immortal, perfect Mind, Soul's complete reflection is one body. These facts expose the fallacy of the popular belief that there are many finite souls and bodies, and that they are all imperfect.

God's spiritual ideas constitute His reflection—His universe and His likeness, man. Soul's creation is as immortal and perfect as Soul itself. It is totally exempt from the mortal, material sense named matter. True body is spiritual, not material. It reflects every quality and condition of its Soul. But because creator is greater than creation, Soul is greater than body. Body, our real identity, dwells in Soul, not Soul in body.
