Christian Science has been such a great blessing in my life that I would like to acknowledge this fact and share some of the blessings. I have received inspiration over many years from reading the testimonies of others.
I was first drawn toward this great truth by the logic and cohesion of its theology. As I began attending services at a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, I felt the love radiating from the happy congregation. I also thought they must be mistaken— believing that healing was possible today through spiritual means alone. However, as I continued reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and attending the services, I soon found healings occurring in my own experience—too quickly and too consistently to be mere coincidence.
I am grateful to my husband's grandmother for her gift to him of a small leather-bound set of the Bible and Science and Health. This set rested on our bookshelf for some years before I opened the copy of Science and Health, which was my introduction to this wonderful, provable religion. I am also grateful to a friend of my husband's, who had attended a Christian Science Sunday School with him years earlier. She invited me several times to attend services in a branch church with her. At first I felt hesitant about going to church without my husband, although he was willing to stay with the young children at home. But soon my husband and I were both able to attend and then join the branch church.
