I have always been grateful for the testimonies in the periodicals and have often found that thoughts contained in them have helped me in healing. I hope that the following will encourage someone who now finds himself in a similar employment situation.
About four years ago my husband, who is not a student of Christian Science, and I talked about moving from the West Coast back to our home state, Colorado, so that we could once again enjoy four seasons. We were both excited about the idea, but my husband asked that we wait until he retired, in about six or seven years. He was convinced that if we moved, he would be unable to find suitable employment at his age. My feeling was—let's go now!
Mrs. Eddy tells us in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health (p. 1): "Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires, that they may be moulded and exalted before they take form in words and in deeds." So I cherished this desire to move—not always silently, but as honestly and humbly as I knew how.
