Vision

From the December 1985 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Here, Christ is come to transform heart's blindness:
pharisaical mentality
critical malignancy
comfortable complacency.
Now, Light of the world floods thought with vision
that I might see—and do—
meekly
earnestly
spiritually.
Christ!
Dispelling blindness, self-righteous vanity.
Light!
That I might not cling steadfast to iniquity,
But cling fast instead to purity—
Man's heritage as the child of God.
Let me, too, and all, wash in Christ light—
And come, seeing!
