Fresh grace and healing

From the December 1985 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Often in seeking healing we ask, "How long, Lord, how long?" But how fervent is our desire for grace? Our willingness to let God do His beautiful work in all of us is directly related to how pliable our hearts are. None of us are humanly perfect, and we have, in some ways, all fallen short of the righteousness of God. So we might consider asking ourselves:

• How much have our thought and disposition moved Spiritward in the last twenty-four hours, or did we just move our bodies around?

• Have we knelt at the foot of the cross and devoutly prayed for redeemed character traits?
