As a lifelong student of Christian Science, I have experienced many proofs of its healing power. My parents relied totally on God in raising me and my sisters, and I attended a Christian Science Sunday School through my senior year in high school. At the age of twelve I became a member of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
Then, while a college student, I strayed from Science for a few years—a result of believing I had "missed out" on something. However, I soon saw how hopeless and dreary life was without Science and returned to studying and practicing its teachings actively.
More recently, my husband and I have been living on a small, sparsely populated island in the Caribbean. I am most grateful for the Christian Science Society I joined soon after we arrived here. Despite the difficulties of attending services, which include taking a ferry to another island, I've found that making the effort has resulted in many blessings to me and my family.
