A life that doesn't wear out

From the January 1988 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Bible tells us, "One day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." II Pet. 3:8 The mere passage of time does not age one.

Moses began his mighty career of rescuing the Israelites from enslavement in Egypt when he was well along in years. He continued his work for many years more; and the Bible reports, "His eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated." Deut. 34:7

Upon what premise can one claim the enjoyment of ageless years? Certainly not upon the popular beliefs relative to birth, growth, decay, and death. To hold thought to the belief of restricted existence introduces aging into the picture from the very beginning.
