My first exposure to Christian Science came when I was in college and a friend, who is a Christian Scientist, invited me to go with her to the Sunday School. In retrospect, I don't know why I agreed to go, because I hadn't much use for religion at the time. The next day the Sunday School teacher stopped by my dormitory and left a paperback copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy with a note suggesting I might find the book interesting.
Despite my skepticism, I began reading and was soon reading Science and Health many hours a day. I recall being struck by the spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer, given on pages 16 and 17, especially this part:
"And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And Love is reflected in love. "
