My heart overflows with love and gratitude for God, "who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies" (Ps. 103:3, 4). Although trials seemed to beset me in times past, with them came spiritual understanding, healings, triumphs, and blessings.
Some years ago I applied for a loan to purchase a time share in a vacation home. My credit wasn't approved, and I was sent temporary payment coupons. I paid them for six months with the understanding that after that time my loan would be approved. However, that wasn't the case, and again I was sent temporary coupons to be paid for an additional six months. By this time I had the feeling that the arrangement wasn't a good idea for me. I stated this in a letter and stopped payments. I longed to be free of this agreement and reached out in prayer.
Daily I prayed. For three weeks there seemed to be no solution. However, I never stopped seeking God's guidance, for I knew He would lead me. Those three weeks of reaching out in prayer humbled me.
