As a lifelong Christian Scientist, I have had numerous experiences of protection and healing through reliance on Christianly scientific prayer.
One memorable healing in my childhood occurred after I had been bitten by a neighbor's watchdog and sustained a severe facial laceration. My family immediately called a Christian Science practitioner for prayerful help. My recollection of her message to me was an encouragement to love the dog because love is a quality of Soul. As a result of prayer, the flesh joined together naturally and my face healed. My love for dogs was not diminished, and I never developed a fear of them. The healing was complete.
After I had married, at one time an earth dam broke several blocks above our house and we were warned to evacuate. Friends immediately offered to provide us with a temporary home and place of storage, and to help in salvaging what we could of our belongings. The outpouring of love appeared greater to me than anything I had ever witnessed.
