As a child I was very impressed with the wonderful stories in the Bible; however, being very serious and somewhat shy, I couldn't imagine a man "walking, and leaping, and praising God," as the man described in Acts, chapter 3, verse 8, did when he was healed by Peter and John. I pictured that man making a spectacle of himself. Some years later, however, I understood.

One rainy morning as I was driving to work, a car ran a stoplight and hit my car broadside, throwing me out of the car. As I started to get up, a man ran toward me, urging me not to rise. (He said later that when he saw the accident, he felt sure I would be killed.) I assured him I was all right.
