How is writing for the Christian Science periodicals different from other writing? What impels it? What makes it possible? How does it help the reader? How does it change the writer?

Not long ago four writers, who contribute regularly to this magazine as well as to the Christian Science Sentinel and the daily religious article in The Christian Science Monitor, discussed what originally launched them in their writing—and what keeps them going if their manuscripts are returned for revision! , , , and spoke about how they got started and what they've learned about writing—and humility and prayer and love—in the intervening years.
