I am grateful to have been raised in Christian Science and to have attended Christian Science Sunday School. There I learned how our Father-Mother God heals, protects, supplies, restores, and saves. An understanding of God has led to good relations with friends and family and has supported me morally and physically.
Through the power of prayerful treatment—my own, my family's, and that of Christian Science practitioners—I have been healed of kidney stones, intestinal illness, a dislocated thumb, and the effects of severe falls. Christian Science has kept me honest and moral, faithful as husband, responsible as parent, sensitive as friend. It has ensured that I have easily abstained from gambling, alcohol, tobacco, and drugs—legal as well as illegal.
My family's health has benefited as well. One particular healing in the family is worthy of note. At the age of nine months, our son suffered from a heavy cold. When he began to show symptoms of pneumonia, we called for the help of a Christian Science practitioner.
