I wish to express my gratitude to God for the many benefits our family has received from the study of Christian Science and from the understanding of God and His creation that this study gives us. Truly, "with God all things are possible" (Mark).
Through the prayers of a Christian Science practitioner and my own earnest endeavors to understand more of God, our twin daughters were healed of the effects of being born prematurely. There was a question of their survival and one of the twins was diagnosed at birth as having a congenital heart defect. The doctor said it might possibly be corrected by surgery in two years.
As I was praying about this situation and reading and pondering Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I concluded that although I did not understand all that I was reading, I did know that God, Spirit, is everywhere. In that instant my consciousness was flooded with a clear vision of God's man as spiritual, and I exclaimed to myself, "Oh, that's the way man really is!" With this new insight into man's true nature I knew the babies were well. This was confirmed by the doctor during a follow-up examination. He pronounced them both perfectly healthy.
