Church BULLETIN BOARD

and items of note this month

From the September 1991 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Whether at a shopping mall, on a college campus, or in the foyer of a church, a bulletin board is a great place for people to share information. You can learn a lot about an active community from reading local bulletin boards. We hope you'll enjoy this bulletin board and feel encouraged to join in and share experiences.

When preparing for a change in employment and a move to another state, I had opportunity to increase greatly my appreciation for the Christian Science Reading Room. I was spending considerable time in prayer, seeking a clear sense of purpose and direction.

After forwarding an application, I was given an interview during which the position was discussed in detail. I was offered the position subject to ratification by the board of the company, which was expected to be a mere formality. While grateful for that development, I continued in daily prayer.
