At the end of the Second World War, my husband returned from a prisoner-of-war camp suffering from tuberculosis.
Years later a school friend of my oldest daughter introduced us to Christian Science. All six members of our family began attending church regularly. We studied the Bible Lesson conscientiously and soon were so confident in God's all-power and all-presence that we no longer felt the need of relying on medicine to maintain health.
By this time, in spite of years of medical treatment the tuberculosis had reached what was considered an advanced, life-threatening stage. So we sought treatment from a Christian Science practitioner. Within two weeks the tuberculosis was completely healed.
