Mary Baker Eddy wrote that the purpose in founding The Christian Science Journal was "to put on record the divine Science of Truth..." (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany). I would like to put on record one Christian Science healing that has blessed our family.
When our first child was born, the period of labor was prolonged and painful. Fearing a repetition of the experience, I became convinced that I did not want more children.
Some months later we found that I was pregnant again. My delight and joy were tainted by fear and concern. I began to recognize that, in order to have a more harmonious and peaceful birth, I must correct my false impressions of the past and my unpleasant expectations for the future. I knew that study of the Bible and of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy would provide the answers I needed.
