Letters

From the December 1994 issue of The Christian Science Journal

My gratitude for the articles in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel* is ever expanding. I have been inspired and blessed so many times by just the right phrase in an article that has awakened me to my need at a particular time or when faced with a specific challenge.

One such phrase appearing in the March 1994 issue of the Journal, in an article entitled "Not just what, but how are you praying?" reads, "Perfection is not our goal; it is our starting point." [This statement] has been most helpful.

I have been seeking a healing for some time from the standpoint of "getting there" instead of realizing that I am already, as God beholds me, His perfect child. I am already feeling renewal, with the [support] of a Christian Science practitioner.
