Last October, members of Third Church of Christ, Scientist, Dallas, Texas, met in support of local efforts to make Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy better known to the public. They realized that what they were about was something much larger than a one-time campaign to make a book better known in their community. In her book Pulpit and Press, Mrs. Eddy says: "If the lives of Christian Scientists attest their fidelity to Truth, I predict that in the twentieth century every Christian church in our land, and a few in far-off lands, will approximate the understanding of Christian Science sufficiently to heal the sick in his name. Christ will give to Christianity his new name, and Christendom will be classified as Christian Scientists." Pul, p. 22

In a talk given at that meeting William R. "Rusty" Hays, Jr., a practitioner of Christian Science who lives in Dallas, offered a response to several questions: What can Christian Scientists do—and what are they doing—to fulfill Mrs. Eddy's expectation? How are we attesting our fidelity to Truth? Is it really possible for this prediction to come true?
