We're pleased to share an example of how a community is embracing the concept of spiritual healing among its churches. The following excerpts are from an article in the Plymouth, New Hampshire, Record Enterprise (April 5, 1995).

Meeting on Spiritual Healing Provides Case Examples

From the October 1996 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The second in a series of meetings sponsored by Plymouth area churches and focusing on healing was held at the Christian Science church on Emerson Street .... A variety of church denominations was represented. [The] First Reader at the church ... read selections from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, the Christian Science textbook, written by Mary Baker Eddy.

During the testimony period that followed, numerous healings through reliance on spiritual means alone were shared. They included several of childhood diseases—chickenpox, mumps, a serious ear infection. One case of a broken collarbone was recounted, another of protection from bodily harm in a bicycle mishap in a traffic intersection.
