This series of articles focuses on the healings brought about by Mary Baker Eddy through her reliance on God. These healings began in her childhood and continued throughout her life. Some of them have not been published previously.
By 1905 Mary Baker Eddy had become a national figure. The media of that day were focusing more and more of their attention on her as Founder and Leader of the Christian Science movement. A good deal of this interest was not friendly. But no matter what confronted her, Christian healing remained at the forefront of her thought.

On May 25, 1905, Mrs. Eddy wrote to one of her longtime students:
