A Christian Science lecture—its transforming effect

From the March 1996 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Jon G. Harder is Chairman of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship.

The world is swamped with all kinds of information and voices. In the middle of the commotion and confusion, a voice stands out clearly to the spiritually hungry. Public lectures on Christian Science, introductions to God's own laws, to the laws of divine Life, Truth, and Love, are going on everywhere. People come to these lectures for many good reasons, and when they do, they find that they can begin to experience something of the source of true health, spiritual conviction, moral strength.

In libraries, convention centers, hotel meeting rooms, bookstores, university auditoriums, parks, and town halls, speakers and listeners are coming together around the facts of genuine spirituality. They are feeling the present power of Christ, Truth, at work to heal and make new. They are exploring Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy as the key that unlocks the Bible's spiritual meaning, and so opens the door to lives that are well worth living.
