Speaking up for Truth!

From the March 1996 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Tony Lobl is a senior writer for the Office of Committee on Publication at The Mother Church.

We live in an age of an abundance of information. Through the latest audiovisual communications, high book sales, and the whole new world of "surfing" on the Internet, information is circulating rapidly and widely.

Included in this vast flow of information are books, magazines, cassettes, and videos that accurately capture the spirit and the letter of Christian Science. These carry a vital message to humanity. They declare the existence of a hope far beyond mere human optimism or positive thinking. They affirm the availability of the spiritual knowledge of God, and of man as made in His image and likeness. Through the pure letter of this Science—found in the Bible and in Mary Baker Eddy's Science and Health—and the imbibing of its spirit, spiritual enlightenment and healing occur, and happiness is established on a dependable basis.
