The very first Christian Science healing I had, early in my marriage, is special to me.
I found I suddenly could not retain my food, and brought up alarming amounts of liquids, which were so acid they burned. This went on for weeks, during which time I was in extreme pain.
My eldest brother was very concerned and begged me to have a doctor. One Sunday he came home with one. As kindly as I knew how, I told the doctor I did not desire his services because I was relying on Christian Science for healing. My brother could not understand this, as my family included several medical men.
