I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science. I have had numerous healings— of illnesses; aback injury; school, teaching, and employment challenges; and many more.
Several years ago I noticed some growths on the sole of my foot. At the time I ignored them, hoping that they would go away Instead of disappearing, however, they spread to the rest of that foot and started appearing on the other one. I became concerned when the situation worsened so quickly. The growths were uncomfortable, and walking was becoming difficult.
It was then that I decided to prove to myself, as stated in Genesis, that God made man in His image (see 1:27). Rather than look to God to heal a hurt foot, I strove to see myself as God's child. As His child, I knew that health, joy, freedom of movement, and other similar qualities are mine to express at all times. In claiming these qualities as mine, and striving to express them more consistently, I was beginning to see that I really was God's healthy and free child. A couple of weeks later, I realized that both feet were completely healed.
