When healing hasn't come—what now?

From the May 1998 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Dear Dr.—,

In our March issue, we printed in our "Letters" column part of an e-mail message from you:

I have been studying Christian Science for about a year. When I discovered Mary Baker Eddy's writings, I felt that I had discovered profound spiritual truth after a long search. I can easily accept Christian Science as a religion, but I am having a harder time accepting Christian Science as a method of healing. This is probably because I make my living as a physician. However, I must say that a recent issue of The Christian Science Journal (with a health without drugs focus) really spoke to me, as I think it would to any health professional who read it, because the articles used a language with which we are familiar. I hope there are more such articles and testimonies waiting to be published in upcoming issues.
