A hymn reminds us, "Our gratitude is riches,/Complaint is poverty" (Christian Science Hymnal,No. 249). In that case, I am a multimillionaire, because I am so very grateful for so many healings. I cannot even recall all of my healings, but I would like to share these.
God would give
me the strength
I needed to carry
it through.
When the dear Christian Science practitioner who had introduced me to Christian Science passed away, she left me to manage her estate. I was not prepared for that step. I was quite frightened. A friend called me the night that my friend passed on, and talked me out of running away from the situation. She assured me that whatever I decided to do, God would give me the strength I needed to carry it through. I thought about this, and realized it was right to honor the responsibility I had been entrusted with. I realized that I had to think about other people, and not just about myself. Needless to say, I am truly grateful for my friend's call.
