My grandmother had a serious heart condition when she was a young widow. Her sister had been healed of a similar condition by turning to Christian Science. She contacted my grandmother and gave her the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. She told her to read this book because it would heal her. And it did. My grandmother became a very dynamic businesswoman. I will always be grateful to her for bringing Christian Science into our family.
I've had many healings, too numerous to relate. One particular healing that stands out is the healing of my arm. It was very painful, and I was miserable for several days. I couldn't lift the arm, and I had trouble driving and dressing. One night, when the pain was especially bad, I walked the floor, repeating the Lord's Prayer over and over. I had been having treatment through prayer from my teacher in Christian Science. The next morning, quite early, I telephoned her in distress. She spoke to me lovingly, quietly, about my relationship to my Father-Mother God. As she spoke, I felt such quiet and peace; I felt the presence of the Christ. My fear was broken. I was healed quickly and permanently.
I knew that God was with me and had healed me.
