Testimonies of Healing

Thankful for spiritual progress

From the December 2000 issue of The Christian Science Journal

When I was an undergraduate student, maintaining a 3.0 gradepoint average would enable a student to defer his Army draft status. I felt the pressure to do this, but it was difficult for me.

I finally went to a United States Air Force recruiting office and enlisted in order to avoid the impending Army draft.

After entering the service, I discovered that my college grades were not as low as I had thought they would be. At first I felt that I had made an unfortunate mistake enlisting. My military duties were mostly routine and unchallenging.
