NEW VIEWS

Lean on God for inspiration

There are no limits on the dawning of God's light.

From the December 2000 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Perhaps nothing propels us forward more than spiritual inspiration. Human reasoning has its ups and downs, which may not get us very far. But Science and Health says, "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." Science and Health, p. vii.

It's also a fact that because the infinite divine Love cares for our needs, expressing Love more deeply in love for others opens up new vistas. True, Christlike love and inspiration go well together. They're inseparable.

If problems weigh us down, we can lean on God for inspiration and healing. We can look deeper and listen to what He is telling us about ourselves. The worldly view of who we are as physical, mortal, trapped by circumstances, often deprived of joy, is a misconception. As God's image, we're actually whole and inherently pure. We're spiritual and without limit. Through prayer and through study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings, these truths become living realities.
