A social worker leans on God at home and at work

For Many Years Now, my first thought when I wake up each morning is these words from a hymn:

This is the day the Lord hath made;
Be glad, give thanks, rejoice;
Stand in His presence, unafraid,
In praise lift up your voice.
(Christian Science Hymnal, No. 342)

I wasn't raised as a Christian Scientist, but years ago, when the first months of my pregnancy were difficult, I decided to call a Christian Science practitioner. The practitioner assured me that I was God's beloved daughter and that everything was all right. She said I was a perfect spiritual idea of God. I thought: Wow!
