My first healing in Christian Science occurred in 1987 when our daughter was about four months old. I had had a dull pain in one of my teeth. The dentist told me that there was no decay, but that, perhaps with the stress of having a newborn at home, I might be grinding my teeth at night, causing pressure.
I was new to the teachings of Christian Science and loved what I was learning. I realized immediately that my love for my daughter was a reflection of the love of our Father-Mother God. There could be no stress or pressure in that love. I had a great desire to put what I knew about Christian Science into practice. So I called a Christian Science practitioner, who agreed to pray for me.
My husband and I had planned to go to Florida to visit my parents, and had planned to leave our daughter with them while we took two days to see Disney World. We did this.
